Who you'll be dealing with
"Most of all it's a great place to be amongst friends who love working with horses."
Richard runs the yard himself, and answers his own email. If you ring about a stable you will speak to him, not a booking system, and if a livery is not right for your horse he will say so rather than fill a box.
The off-road estate ride runs five miles across land that is otherwise private, with a number of optional routes. Interesting or relaxing, as you please, and suitable for novice and experienced riders alike.

On the yard
The people and the extras.
A yard is only as good as who turns up to it. These are ours, on site, so you are not chasing appointments across the county.
Resident trainers
Di Hogg and Toby Blake train on the yard, so lessons happen where your horse already lives.
Equine osteopathy
Bruce Hewett, a fully qualified osteopath with further postgraduate qualifications, works on site.
Remedial farriery
A remedial farriery service on the yard, for the feet that need more than a standard shoeing.
Our own hay and haylage
Grown here from horse-specific grass seed varieties and completely dust free. Rare, and it matters for wind.
Rug laundry
An on-site rug laundry service, so the winter turnout rugs are somebody else's problem.
Small settled groups
Turnout split by age and sex, mares, geldings, youngsters and weanlings, on freshly rolled and rested fields.

"The equestrian facilities are top notch."
Google reviewA full livery owner writes that her pony is looked after as though she were the yard's own, and that she could not wish for a better home for her.
Google · paraphrasedOthers describe staff who are friendly and very competent both, and facilities they rate highly, which is a rarer pairing on a yard than it ought to be.
